The new law which was adopted by the government must NOT be applied to the developers who signed the contracts prior to it issuance. |

Dera All:
Again, I am not a lawyer neither a legal scholar.
It is a common sense to see that when a new law is adopted it does not apply retroactively. This means it does not apply to contracts signed prior to this law.
This is called GRAMDFATHER CLAUSE. I hope it has a similarity in our laws.
So, These developers who signed these contracts with the government like Talaat Mustafa Group, and others, MUST be exempt from such law. This is a simple solution and is adopted to avoid the destruction of projects just because the government just decided to get up from its deep sleep and issue a new law.
I ask Mr. El Mustashar as a legal scholsr to give his lega opinion in finding this up in our laws and use his contacts to advise all of us.
This GRANDFATHER CLAUSE is a law adopted everywhere in the world.
All the best. Dr. Aly Sharaf
