I must admit that Egypt is in my blood and there is no second that passes unless I think about it and about the many friends and relatives I have living in it. I follow the news sources every minute through the internet and satellite TV to the point that when I call my friends on the phone they are surpriced when I ask them about a piece of news they have yet to know about it. This  is also  the feeling of all of my egyptian friends who live here and have nothing that gathers us other than talking about the beloved Egypt.

 

With this introduction, I and all of my friends beleive that Egypt problems are easy to overcome since we are all outside looking in. However, we also beleive that Egypt is filled with excperts and scientists in every aspect of life. It is also saturated with those who can see what is wrong and call for it to be right. When I come and have a gathering with my old classmates and friends, I see and hear the most intellictual ideas comming out of them. It is unfortunate that most of them are retired and have little or no influence.

 

I, along with so many of us, always asked that why those who know are not in the right and leading position.

ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTAND AND KNOW IN THE COUNTRY ARE EX-GENRALS?. Everytime I watch the Egyptian TV , I find that General so and so, head of an economic organization giving his opinion. Every time I hear a Governer of MOHAFZA, I find out that he is an ex-general. I do respect all these generals and their roles in our OCTOBER vectory, I salute them in their role in the battle fields and I do not think that they know too much about health, economy, education, marketing, statistics...etc., and all aspects of daily civilian lives. It is worse mentioning that the governer of any state and the mayer of any city in the USA is elected by the people of his state or city and after he comes before the people along with many competing candidates explaining their programs. Again, I'm in the outside looking in!!!!.

 

Finally, and in our small and beautifil city, El-Rehab, where there is a lot of intelectuals and experts in many aspects of life, we like to express our ideas and opinion and the authorities must take advantage of these ideas and respect the other views. Also I may prefer that the Mayor of the city to be elected after he and others tell us their plans to improve it. He will be more respected since he will be realy representing the people. As of the Governers (MOHAFEZEEN). we have no say or control as of now.

 

Again, I'm on the outside looking in.
