Dear Brother Ibrahim: ALSALAM ALUKUM
I mean brother and what a coincidence. I had an older brother named Ibrahim Sharaf (May Allah Bless his sole) who was like the dancer in the symphony. My brother was a victim of the Polio Virus when he was born in 1939. He had one leg and the other was completely paralyzed using crutches to walk. He was very well educated graduating from Faculty of Law at the University of Ein Shams, and was a legal scholar.
It is also a coincidence to know that the scientist who discovered the Polio Vaccine is Dr. Jona Salk at the University of Pittsburgh where I had my Ph.D. He discovered the vaccine in 1953 and his lab still exist with his name on it until today. He died in 1995.
Another coincidence, in 1988, I invited my brother to visit me here in Pittsburghh and while I took him for a tour to my lab. I showed him Dr. Salk's lab explaining to him about this great scientist discovery and his response the "Dr. Salk was little late after I was infected".!!
On a happy note, I like to let you know that I will arriving to Cairo on the first week of February and staying until the end of April. Hoping to see you Brother Ibrahim.
Thank you for selecting such symphony that proves that if you have the desire to do somthing, you will be able to do it.
All the best
Aly Sharaf
